This is a museum-grade, hand-shaped reproduction of the gold bracelet associated with Pharaoh Amenemope of Egypt’s 21st Dynasty. It is identical in shape, color, style and proportion to the one stolen in September 2025 from the museum in Egypt.

This bracelet has an authentic lapis lazuli bead in the exact size and proportion of the original. It is drilled and threaded into a steel metal core, giving it strength and rigidity. The gilded acrylic exterior is finished in an extremely hard and waterproof museum-grade wax. It should go without saying, but this bracelet is not real, solid gold.

The original bracelet dates to roughly 3,000 years ago and was part of the collection of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The bracelet (a solid gold bangle with a spherical lapis lazuli bead) was recently the subject of a high-profile theft, and was reported missing from the museum’s restoration laboratory while items were being prepared for an upcoming international exhibition. Officials circulated images of the bracelet in hopes of a recovery (see attached image). Authorities later reported the bracelet had been sold and melted down. Several suspects, including restoration specialists, were held by the police. The matter remains a notable loss to Egypt’s material heritage.

The bracelet tightly fits over the hand of an adult man (as the original was designed to do), and doesn't fall off when the hand is dangled. It weighs 20 grams.

Made in the USA.
